Tasting Notes

The 2017 Lewelling Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon is lively with sweet tannin and bright acidity. Macerated strawberry, among darker fruits, vanilla, pepper and spice, and some licorice, come together with impressive lilt. The 2017s are bright and balanced, with plenty of structure behind their lush Lewelling Ranch fruit. We were fortunate to have picked many days before the fires of 2017, capturing the purity of the vintage before the smoke and tragedy.
